Mohan Bhagwat Joins Twitter; RSS Chief On Micro-Blogging Site Along With Six Other Top Sangh Leaders
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday joined Twitter. The six others, who joined Twitter along with the RSS Chief include Suresh Joshi, Suresh Soni, Krishna Gopal, V Bhagaiah, Arun Kumar and Aniruddh Deshpande.
Mumbai, July 1: Mohan Bhagwat, the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) Chief (Sarsanghchalak), joined micro-blogging site Twitter on Monday. The RSS Chief's Twitter handle is named--@DrMohanBhagwat. With his debut on the micro-blogging site, Bhagwat is likely to interact with media and masses. According to reports, six other top functionaries of the RSS have joined Twitter apart from Bhagwat. Bhagwat and other top functionaries of the Sangh announced their arrival on social media Monday by getting their Twitter handles verified. The six others, who joined Twitter along with the RSS Chief include Suresh Joshi, Suresh Soni, Krishna Gopal, V Bhagaiah, Arun Kumar and Aniruddh Deshpande.
The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) has a verified handle from where it tweets out statements and shares information about events. The official Twitter account of the RSS has over 1.3 million followers, while its verified Facebook page has over 54 lakh likes. Reports inform that only Dattatreya Hosable, a joint general secretary and a handful of functionaries had twitter accounts earlier.
