The mob lynching incidents have been on a rise across Bihar. According to ADGP Patna Jitendra Kumar, 12 incidents of mob lynching has been reported from July 23 to August 7. “Public shouldn’t take law in their hands,” police said adding that special drives have been organised across the state to spread awareness among the people.
“The motive to organise the programme was that several people traverse through that point and words of police would reach locations were people would travel," said Kumar. Meanwhile, in August itself, more than 10 mob lynching incidents have been reported.
