MK Stalin Greets ‘Mother’ Sonia Gandhi for Being Elected As CPP Leader, Says No Power Can Remove Congress From People’s Heart

New Delhi, June 2: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president MK Stalin on Sunday greeted UPA (United Progressive Alliance) chairperson Sonia Gandhi on her election as a leader of Congress Parliamentary Party. In a Facebook post, he said, "I extend my hearty greetings to respected Annai (mother) Sonia Gandhi." Notably, Congress leaders in Tamil Nadu usually call Gandhi as “Annai Sonia” as a mark of respect. Sonia Gandhi Re-Elected Leader of Congress Parliamentary Party.

"Heartfelt Congratulations to the respected mother Mrs Sonia Gandhi, who is elected as the president of the parliamentary committee of Congress. Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi on Saturday was elected as the leader of Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) in Delhi. The former prime minister of India Manmohan Singh proposed her name and it was unanimously endorsed by all party Member of Parliaments. The suspense is now over whom Chairperson names as the leader of the party in Parliament.
