Minor Boy Mowed Down by Garbage Dumper in the Congested Mumbai Roads Due to Metro Work in Govandi Area
Ever since the Metro work has started, locals have complained that there are more than three to four fatal accidents every month.
Mumbai, July 3: In a shocking incident, a three-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a garbage dumper in the eastern suburb of Govandi. According to a Times of India report, the accident happened in Shivaji Nagar area, where the road is cramped up due to the Metro work taking place there.
The child was reportedly playing on the road when the rear tyre of a truck run him down. The driver was beaten by the angry mob, who gathered at the spot. The culprit was handed over to the Police. It is being suspected that the driver may not have noticed the child who was playing on the road and thus hit him. The truck had collected garbage and was on the way to the dump yard.
