MHADA Lottery: Affordable Housing in Konkan Region, 800 People Register in 5 Hours on the First Day; How To Apply
One can log into the MHADA website, create a login ID and fill in basic information and participate in the lottery scheme.
Mumbai, July 19: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority's (MHADA) Konkan wing has announced affordable housing for the people who are looking for houses in Thane, Kalyan, Virar, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri areas. The registration has been started from July 18 and will continue till August 8, midnight. As per the news report, around 800 people have registered for the lottery scheme on the first day itself in a span of just five hours between 2 pm to 7 pm. Officials from the MHADA Konkan division expect that the number of registration will increase as people have more days to participate in the lottery scheme of the housing.
Once the last date of registration ends, one can fill the forms and select the houses at the said locations based on their income level. This year, in MHADA's Konkan housing scheme, a total of 9018 houses are expected to be sold. Out of this, a total of 3937 houses are under the ambitious Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) scheme introduced by PM Narendra Modi.
One can log on to the MHADA website and create their login ID. To create a login ID, basic information is required to be filled. After it is created, they can select the scheme in which they want to apply, shortlist their locations and fill other vital information, which includes income group, reservation category (SC/ST/Open) and different quotas. Once the details are filled, they need to confirm the details and pay the registration fees online through debit/credit card, NEFT/RTGS net banking or by a demand draft. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) can be paid till August 10, 2018.
Out of the total 9018 houses that will be sold, for the economically weaker section (EWS), there are 4455 homes in Mira Road, Blakum (Thane), Shirdone (Kalyan), Khoni (Kalyan). Antarli (Kalyan), Khoni Hedutane (Kalyan), Kole (Kalyan), and Umbarli (Ambernath). For the lower income group(LIG) category, there are 4341 homes, and they are located in Mira Road, Kavesar (Thane), Vengural, (Sindhudurg), Virar Bolinj, Khoni (Kalyan). Antarli (Kalyan), Khoni Hedutane (Kalyan), Kole (Kalyan), and Umbarli (Ambernath). For Middle Income Group (MIG), the number of homes is 215 and they are located in Balkum (Thane), Vengurla (Sindhudurg), Mira Road, Kunwar Bav (Ratnagiri) and Virar Bolinj areas.
Besides these, there are seven homes for the high-income group (HIG) category, and they are located in Mira Road, Vengurla (Sindhudurg) and Kunwar Bav (Ratnagiri).
