Mumbai, November 5: The online registration for the MHADA lottery 2018, run by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority, has begun. The rates for MHADA flats start from Rs 14.6 lakh and ends upto Rs 5.8 crore. Under the MHADA lottery scheme, there are four categories of apartments: Rs 20 lakh for economically weaker section (EWS), Rs 20-35 lakh for lower income group (LIG), Rs 35-60 lakh for middle income group (MIG) and Rs 60 lakh-Rs 5.8 crores for the higher income group (HIG). The maximum monthly salary of a EWS category person seeking to apply for a flat cannot be more than Rs 25,000. For LIG category households, the slab is between Rs 25,001 and Rs 50,000. For MIG homes, the monthly salary has to be Rs 50,001 to Rs 75,000, and above that is for HIG homes. The result of the MHADA lottery 2018 will be declared on December 16.
