Delhi, November 24: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija on Sunday criticised the Supreme Court via her mother's Twitter handle for its urgent hearing over the government formation in Maharashtra. Taking jibe, she said that apex court "doesn’t deem it necessary" to do the same for Jammu and Kashmir people who are "under lockdown in J&K since 5th August." “Curious case of Supreme Court. Mehbooba Mufti has been placed under detention since the abrogation of Article 37 on August 5. On Sunday, the Supreme Court heard a joint petition by Shiv Sena, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party against Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari's move to invite Devendra Fadnavis to form the government.
Mehbooba Mufti was recently shifted from Srinagar’s Cheshma Shahi, where she was lodged from August 5, earlier this month. Although the government has been claiming that everything is normal in Jammu and Kashmir, several reports have alleged that valley is still struggling for normalcy.
