Mumbai, June 29: In order to carry out maintenance and repair works, the Central Railway will conduct a mega block on Harbour line on Sunday, June 30. Local train services on Mumbai's Harbour line will be affected due to Sunday's mega block. There will be no mega block on Central line but trains will be running 15 minutes behind the scheduled time. Local train services on Western line will remain normal as no mega block will be carried out there.
The Central Railway on Saturday informed citizens that the scheduled mega block on Matunga-Mulund down fast line has been cancelled. During the mega block, all Up fast/semi-fast local trains leaving Thane from 10:46 am to 3:18 pm will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule. All slow services arriving and leaving CSMT between 11:00 am to 5:00 pm will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule. On Harbour line, local trains to Vashi, Belapur and Panvel will remain suspended from 10:34 am to 3:44 pm. Similarly, CSTM-bound trains leaving Vashi, Belapur and Panvel from 10:21 am to 3:28 pm will remain suspended during the mega block. In view of the mega block, the Central Railway has allowed commuters to travel via Trans Harbour line and Central line from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. There will be no mega block on Western line. A jumbo block, however, will be undertaken from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in Vasai Yard. During the block, Up and Down Freight movement will be affected.
