Mumbai, January 19: Local train services on Central and Harbour lines in Mumbai won't be affected on Sunday, January 20 as the Central Railways won't carry out a mega block on both networks. No mega block has been announced so far on Central and Harbour lines for this Sunday. However, a jumbo block will be carried out on the Western line, disrupting local train services.

A jumbo block will be conducted from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on up and down fast lines between Borivali and Bhayandar stations on Sunday, to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment. During the jumbo block, all up fast trains will run on up slow line Ex Viar/Vasai Road to Borivali and all down fast trains on down slow line Ex Borivali and Vasai Road Virar.

Central Railway and Western Railway conduct block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail tracks and other related issues. Central Railway’s operation is called mega block and Western Railway’s block is called jumbo block.
