Central Railway's Mumbai Division will conduct a Mega Block on Sunday, August 4, 2024, affecting local train services on the Central and Harbour Lines to carry out essential engineering and maintenance works. On the Central Line, down slow services from CSMT Mumbai between 10:14 am and 3:18 pm will be diverted to the down fast line between Matunga and Mulund, stopping at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, and Mulund. These trains will rejoin the slow line at Mulund, arriving 15 minutes late. Up slow services from Thane between 10:58 am and 3:59 pm will also be diverted to the up fast line at Mulund, halting at the same stations, and will rejoin the slow line at Matunga, similarly arriving 15 minutes behind schedule. All trains departing from or arriving at CSMT Mumbai between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm will be delayed by 15 minutes. Harbour Line services will be suspended between Vadala Road and Mankhurd during the block period. Down Harbour services to Vashi, Belapur, and Panvel from CSMT Mumbai between 10:03 am and 3:54 pm and up services to CSMT from Vashi, Belapur, and Panvel between 9:40 am and 3:28 pm will be halted. Special services will run between Panvel and Mankhurd. Harbour Line passengers can use the Trans Harbour Line and Main Line from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. The maintenance is vital for infrastructure upkeep and safety, and passengers are advised to plan accordingly.
