New Delhi, August 21: Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) and Indian boxer MC Mary Kom on Wednesday supported abrogation of Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. The Olympic medallist said that the revocation will help athletes from J&K to get the good facility from the Centre. The six-time world champion also said that players will be benefited and they will perform better for the nation. "Any athlete from Jammu and Kashmir will get a good facility from Centre now. Players will be benefited more and they will perform better for the country. In a historic move, the Modi government on August 5 scrapped the provisions of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. The state was also bifurcated into two union territories- Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh. Meanwhile, the valley has been by and large peaceful with some minor incidents of stone-pelting and protests.
