Martyrs' Day Virtual Rally 2020: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Attacks BJP, Says 'Outsiders Will Not Run the State'

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attacked the BJP party on Tuesday during TMC's virtual rally for Martyr Day, popularly known as 'Ekushe July’. CM alleged that the central government has neglected West Bengal and therefore, people in the state would give them a befitting reply.

West Bengal. July 21: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attacked the BJP party on Tuesday during TMC's virtual rally for Martyrs' Day, popularly known as 'Ekushe July’. CM alleged that the central government has neglected West Bengal and therefore, people in the state would give them a befitting reply.

"We will throw the BJP out of West Bengal in the 2021 Assembly elections. Trinamool Congress will form the government again. The next elections will show a new direction to the state as well as to the country, " said CM Mamata Banerjee

She further added, "Outsiders will not run the state. There are some people who don't have any political experience. They speak of killing people and setting things ablaze." She further indirectly attacked BJP and said one party was trying to incite riots among Hindus and Muslims. Addressing the party’s annual Martyrs’ Day rally, Mamata Banerjee said people were unable to speak due to reign of fear across the country. A rally is held in memory of the 13 youth Congress workers killed in police firing in Kolkata on this day in 1993. However, this year amid the coronavirus pandemic and the rising cases, Banerjee addressed people on social media from her office. Giant screens and monitors were installed in public places and TMC offices across the state.
