Delhi, October 3: Ram Leela in Delhi is famous all over the country. The play based on the Hindu mythology marks the victory of Lord Rama over demon-king Ravana. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi President Manoj Tiwari also took part in the festivities and played the role of Lord Parashurama at Nav Shri Manav Dharm Ramlila in Model Town. Dressed as Lord Parshurama, Major Tiwari speaking to news agency ANI said, "It is a pleasure to be a part of Ramlila to popularise stories about Lord Ram. I am playing the part of Lord Parashurama who had fought against unjust kings."

Manoj Tiwari also targeted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal without naming him and said that the time has come to end sins in Delhi. People of the national capital have been cheated. Earlier, Manoj Tiwari had also played the role of Angad in Ramlila of Red Fort.

In Ramleela 2019 of Model Town, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari plays the role of Parshuram, while Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan will be seen as Angad. Apart from this, Bindu Dara Singh will be seen as Hanuman, while Ravana's character will be played by Shahbaz Khan.
