New Delhi, October 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced that he would address the nation on the occasion of Diwali 2019 on Sunday. This would be the 58th edition of his monthly radio program 'Mann ki Baat' scheduled at every month-end. But, being the celebratory auspicious occasion of Diwali this time, PM Modi had asked for suggestions from people so that he can share it on national media.

Informing about his address to the nation, PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter and urged people to tune to national channels. Earlier, he had asked people to give him suggestions and share their experiences, so that his Union government can derive corrective measures to improve the welfare policies. In the previous episode, PM Modi had spoken about initiating a 'Bharat Ki Laxmi' campaign this Diwali to honour the girls who have brought a change in society. He had even called on the citizens to outline the achievements of 'daughters' of the country using BharatKiLaxmi hashtag.

PM Modi had said, "There must be numerous daughters amongst us who, through their perseverance, diligence and talent have brought glory to their families, society and the country. This Diwali, can we arrange programmes to honour the Laxmi of India?” M Adding more, he had said, "This time, let us do campaign #Bharatkilaxmi. Encouraging the Laxmi of Bharat amounts to strengthening the paths of prosperity for the country and her citizens."

The radio program Mann Ki Baat is hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This show is broadcasted on All India Radio, DD National, DD News and DD Bharti. People can hear the address of PM Modi radio programme on Sunday at 11 am on All India Radio, DD and Narendra Modi Mobile App.
