Mann Ki Baat: PM Narendra Modi Praises Citizens For Respecting Ayodhya Verdict, Shares Thoughts on NCC Day And Pushkaram

New Delhi, November 24: The Prime Minister lauded the nation for maintaining peace and unity after the Supreme Court order on Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid in Ayodhya in his 59th edition of the Mann ki Baat on Sunday. The Prime Minister called the Supreme Court's decision a milestone and said it lays the emphasis for "New India." Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the nation a happy "National NCC Day". The Prime Minister recalled his days as a NCC cadet and encouraged the youth to join the NCC. The Prime Minister also spoke on the tourism in NorthE-Eastern India and spoke to a few NCC cadet and students on his programme.

In his monthly radio programme, the Prime Minister also spoke on his reading habit and mentioned Google in his speech. The Prime Minister also reminded the nation of the Armed Forces Flag Day. He welcomed the people of the nation to remember the brave soldiers.

Talking of the Fit India week, the Prime Minister urged the youth to make lifestyle changes and requested the schools to celebrate Fit India week in December. PM Modi informed about the Fit India portal and the Fit India rankings.

The PM also tried to take the nation's attention to the Pushkar Mela. He also mentioned the word Pushkaram and Pushkara and the utsav celebrated to celebrate the importance of rivers.

PM Modi spoke on Pariskha pe Charcha programme and said that he will try to hold in January, after a request from a January. Speaking on languages, the Prime Minister emphasised on the importance of languages and diversity of languages in India. The PM mentioned how the UN has declared the International Day of Indegenious Languages year.

In the last edition of the programme on October 27, the Prime Minister spoke on various issues like urging people to buy local products and the idea of festival tourism on 'Mann Ki Baat'.
