Mann Ki Baat, a first-of-its-kind of periodical radio show by the Indian Prime Minister, was launched on October 3, 2014. Modi attempted to reach out directly to the remotest part of the nations using the radio format. So far, 60 editions of the programme have been aired. As per the schedule, they are broadcasted on the final Sunday of each month.

The radio address lasts for 15-30 minutes, in which the Prime Minister skims upon an array of subjects and issues cutting across various realms. The medium, while utilised by Modi to highlight the impact of various decisions taken and schemes rolled out by his government, has not been used to deride political opponents.
