New Delhi, June 30: After a break of almost four months, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann ki Baat' on Sunday, June 30. This is the Prime Minister's first 'Mann ki Baat' programme in his second consecutive term as the Prime Minister. During his address, the Prime Minister lauded the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the successful conduction of polls. He addressed the burning issue of water crisis faced in several parts of the country and urged to the people to work dedicatedly towards conserving water. "Keeping the importance of water in mind, a new Jalashakti Ministry has been created in the country. This will allow faster decision-making on all subjects related to water", Modi said.

On February 24, PM Modi he had suspended his monthly broadcast for March and April. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, after four long months, Mann Ki Baat is back to do what it has always loved, celebrate the power of positivity and the strengths of 130 crore Indians.

On June 15, the Prime Minister took to micro-blogging site Twitter to announce his return on his radio address. "30th June, Sunday at 11:00 AM... We will meet once again, thanks to the radio, share joy, positivity and celebrate the collective strength of 130 crore Indians. I am sure you have lots to say for Mann Ki Baat. Share it on the NaMo App Open Forum," PM Modi tweeted.

On Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to listen to the radio programme with other party workers at the Kakrola stadium in Dwarka. According to reports, after BJP's stunning victory in the Lok Sabha polls 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning to take Modi's monthly radio programme to more people this time.  Party workers at all levels have been directed to ensure better facilities such as better radio sets to attract more people to the programme, reports informed.

The Mann Ki Baat programme can b viewed on the entire network of All India Radio and Doordarshan and will also be streamed live on the YouTube channels of the Prime Minister's Office, Information and Broadcasting Ministry, AIR and DD News.
