Gurugram, June 19: Haryana Police on Wednesday, June 19, arrested a man for allegedly masturbating on a female passenger in a metro station complex in Gurugram. The woman had alleged that the man masturbated on her where she was walking out of a cloth store inside Huda City Centre Metro Station complex. "I was climbing down escalators just outside the store when I felt something was wrong at my back. When I turned, a guy was shagging just behind me and I realised that he masturbated on me," she claimed in a tweet. In a series of tweets, the woman said, "I was shocked, scared, traumatised. And I feel shame that metro, which is supposed to be the safest mode of transport for women, where the chief minister is offering free rides to women, lacks clearly in making it safe in the first place. It's like you step out and you are on your own."

Responding to the tweet, Gurgaon police registered an FIR at the metro police station. With the help of CCTV footage, cops tracked down the culprit. The accused has been booked under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 354A and 509.
