Man in Ahmedabad Kills His Brother Over Fight on Switching Off Light!

The incident took place this week when Prakash, the accused, had a quarrel with his younger brother Mukesh when their mother switched off the light in the room. In the fight that turned ugly, Prakash hit Mukesh with a stick on his head.

Ahmedabad, October 28: In another shocking incident of taking life over a trivial issue, a man from Ambli killed his brother following a tiff over switching off light. The incident took place this week when Prakash, the accused, had a quarrel with his younger brother Mukesh when their mother switched off the light in the room. In the fight that turned ugly, Prakash hit Mukesh with a stick on his head. He was taken to the hospital, but he succumbed to the injury on Friday, October 26. The incident took place in Chunaravas in Ambli where the family lives in a joint family of two brothers along with their wives, children and the mother. Prakash the elder brother had a fight with his mother on October 23, when she switched off the light. The younger brother supported the mother and the fight took a turn for the worse. A police official was quoted in a TOI report, "Prakash took side of his mother and started quarrelling with Mukesh. Both the brothers attacked each other with sticks. Mukesh received a blow on his head and was rushed to the civil hospital and then to the VS Hospital." Off late, a lot of incidents have been reported where people opt to killing over trivial issues. In one of the incidents reported from Delhi, a man was severely stabbed in his chest over a dispute of Rs 500.
