Mumbai, December 27: The Maharashtra Youth Congress President, Satyajeet Tambe Patil on Thursday wrote a letter to the makers of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' and asked to show them the movie before its official release. The youth Congress further told that if they found any scenes unfactual, they should be deleted or else they will not let the movie be screened anywhere in the country. In the copy of the letter shared by news agency ANI it can be seen that Congress leader Satyajeet Tambe has written a letter to Sunil Bhora and Dhaval Gada, Producers of The Accidental Prime Minister, asking them for a special screening of the movie before its official release on 11 January 2019. "Looking at the trailer of the movie it can be understood that facts have been played with and presented in an incorrect manner with regards to the Ex-Prime Minister Respected Manmohan Singh Ji, UPA Chairperson Respected smt. Sonia Gandhi Ji and Congress Party to malign the image of Congress Party which is not acceptable to us, " said Tambe.

Meanwhile, the trailer of 'The Accidental Prime Minister' was released earlier today. In the movie, the veteran actor Anupam Kher is playing the role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, while, Akshay Khanna is playing the role Sanjay Baru, Manmohan Singh's media adviser. It also features Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra as Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi, respectively. Directed by Vijay Gutte and Hansal Mehta as the creative producer, the movie is set to hit silver screens on January 11, 2019.
