Pune, July 31: In a tragic incident, seven members of a family, including two women and two minors, were killed and another was severely injured when the SUV they were travelling crashed into a tree. The incident took place on Wednesday night in Maharashtra's Satara district on Pune-Bengaluru Highway near Kashil village. According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle. All the deceased were hailing from Karnataka's Dharwad district and were heading towards Pune or Mumbai airport. "The accident took place near Kashil village around 12.45 am on Wednesday. Police said that the driver was driving at very high speed and lost it's controlling and collided to a roadside tree. All the members of a single-family died on the spot, while, the driver, undergoing treatment, is said to be critical.
