Pune, Sep 21: In a shocking incident, a priest-cum-principal of a convent school in Pune has been sent to police custody for allegedly molesting a minor student in school. According to a tweet by ANI, the principal also showed pornographic content to the 14-year-old boy student of the school in school premises. The incident took place in March this year. The principal, who was arrested on September 19, has been sent to custody till September 23.

The Pune City Police arrested the principal under sections of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, for allegedly sexually harassing a 14-year-old boy by showing him a pornographic video. According to reports, the family of the boy also remained silent fearing that his education will be hampered. "The incident took place in March this year. The principal had sexually harassed the boy by showing him a porn video. The boy had complained about the incident to the lady school counsellor," the Police official said.

Reports inform that the incident came to light after the victim complained to a female counsellor in the school who allegedly asked him to remain silent about the incident. However, the counsellor too is also a co-accused in the police case.
