Maharashtra: Minor Dies After Taking Massage Treatment in Pune
In an appealing case, a 12-year-old boy, identified as Rohit Shankar Todase, who had visited a masseur, ceased to the injuries on Saturday.
Pune, January 20: In an appealing case, a 12-year-old boy, identified as Rohit Shankar Todase, who had visited a masseur, ceased to the injuries on Saturday, reported mid-day. According to reports, Todase fell in his school's bathroom and was unable to walk, following which his parents took him to the masseur, who allegedly pressed a ligament. After the massage session, Todase faced difficulties in urinating and excreting and eventually succumbed to injuries.
Todase, a resident of Charapani Lane in Pune's Bhosari was a class 7 student of Mahatma Phule School. According to police, the boy was unable to walk as his spinal cord was damaged. After the incident, the boy was going through medical treatment in Private hospital as his parents couldn't support more expenses Todase was eventually shifted to home. Later, a common friend told Todase's parents to visit for a massage treatment. "We are probing the case and awaiting post-mortem reports," said police to mid-day. A case of accidental death has been registered and an investigation is underway.
