Mumbai, December 10: As 2020 is just a few weeks away, the Maharashtra government has announced the list of public and bank holidays in 2020. The state has announced 24 public holidays for commercial banks, including cooperative banks. In 2020 four public holidays are falling on Sundays- Republic Day (January 26), Parsi New Year (August 16), Moharum (August 30) and Dasara (October 25). Six Public holidays are falling on Fridays- Mahashivratri (February 21) Good Friday (April 10), Maharashtra Day/May Day (May 1), Gandhi Jayanthi (October 2), Milad-un-Nabi (October 30), and Christmas (December 25). Three holidays are falling on Mondays — Mahavir Jayanthi (April 6), Eid-ul-Fitr (May 25), Diwali (November 16) and Guru Nanak Jayanti (November 30).
