New Delhi, May 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi, the country's top two political leaders, extended greetings to the people of Maharashtra and Gujarat on Wednesday. The two states celebrate Maharashtra Day and Gujarat Day, respectively, on May 1 each year.
In his message on social media, the Prime Minister described the people of Maharashtra as revolutionaries and the state as a host of social reforms. For Gujaratis, Modi said they have excelled in all spheres of lives and made contributions in all circles.
