Nagpur, December 2: A 35-year-old man was arrested by police for allegedly sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The accused has been identified as Jawahar Baburao Vaidya. A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. ‘Hyderabad Vet Rape-Murder Case to Be Heard in Fast-Track Court,’ Says Telangana Chief Minister KCR.

The arrest was made on Sunday evening, reported Nagpur Today. The accused was first beaten up by the locals after the girl screamed, and was later handed over to Pardi Police. The report also said that the accused is a brother of a BJP Corporator. The news comes even as the nation is reeling under the shock of a 27-year-old Hyderabad veterinary doctor gangraped and killed when she was on her way back home. Her charred body was later recovered by the police. The case will be tried in a fast-track court.
