Madras: Crime Against Women & Senior Citizen May Bar You From Applying For Government Jobs & No Passport Will Be Issued
The judge of Madras High Court further requested the parents to keep a watch on their wards at least till they complete the first year in college.
Madras, July 2: In order to keep a check on the rise in crimes against women, Madras High Court has issued a warning against students who indulge in offences against women or senior citizens. According to an Indian Today report, the decision has been taken by Justice P N Prakash on the back of college students carrying deadly weapons in public transport services. The judge has said that the courts will not tolerate the crime, even if the offender is a student.
Reportedly, the student who commits such crimes, will not be eligible to apply for government jobs and no passport will be issued to the same student as per the PTI reports. As per Justice P N Prakash's warning, all the FIRs will be made available online, and therefore there will be no way a person can suppress any information.
Offences like damaging public property, teasing women and stalking are severe and non-bail able crimes, as said by Justice P N Prakash. The judge of Madras High Court further requested the parents to keep a watch on their wards at least till they complete the first year in college.
