Bhind, November 1: In a tragic accident in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, a youth named Chandraprakash lost his life after his mobile phone slipped into a pot of boiling oil while he was cooking, leading to an explosion. The incident occurred on Friday when Chandraprakash, who was preparing a meal, dropped his phone in the hot oil, triggering a battery explosion that caused severe burns from both the oil and fire.

Family members rushed him to the Lahar Civil Hospital, but due to the severity of his burns, he was referred to Gwalior for advanced care. The detour required the ambulance to travel an additional 80 kilometers through Tharet, Indergarh, and Dabra, adding two hours to the journey. According to his uncle, the family believes that had Chandraprakash reached the hospital on time, he might have survived. Following the incident, Lahar Police Station registered a case under Section 194 BNS based on a complaint from his relative, Akhilesh, citing “death due to mobile explosion.” Investigations are underway.

Chandraprakash is survived by his wife, a 14-year-old daughter, and an 8-year-old son. Family members expressed grief over the delay in medical assistance.
