Bhopal, November 13: A youth in Madhya Pradesh, who was seen dangling from an overhead wire at a railway station in Gwalior on Tuesday, was saved from getting electrocuted by the Government Railway Police (GRP) officials. According to a tweet by ANI, the GRP personnel rescued the youth at tracks on Dabra railway station on Tuesday morning. Reports inform that as soon as the man was found dangling from the overhead wire, locals gathered at the spot and informed the authorities.
The incident prompted officials to switch off power supply on the route to carry out the rescue operations safely. A close look at the video released by ANI, it is seen that police officials, who were on top a rail engine, reached the spot where the man was clinging to the overhead wire. Th officials forcibly pulled him down and rescued him. In the video that went viral on social media, people were seen gathered on both sides of the platform to witness the high profile drama. According to reports, several trains were stalled for an hour in Madhya Pradesh’s Jhansi rail division.
North Central Railway’s Jhansi division’s commercial manager Akhil Shukla was quoted in reports that the incident around 6 am on Monday and the man was brought down to safety by railway staff.
