Madhya Pradesh: Unable to Bear Trauma, 15-Year-Old Rape Victim Commits Suicide in Khargone
According to a tweet by ANI, ASP Khargone informed that the locals informed them that the minor girl had ended her life after she was unable to bear the rape trauma. "We got info that a minor girl has committed suicide. We investigated and found out that the girl was raped because of which she took the step", Khargone said.
Bhopal, December 23: In a tragic incident, a 15-year-old rape survivor in Madhya Pradesh committed suicide after being depressed about the incident. The incident took place in Ashapur village of Khargone on Sunday. According to a tweet by ANI, ASP Khargone informed that the locals informed them that the minor girl had ended her life after she was unable to bear the rape trauma. "We got info that a minor girl has committed suicide. We investigated and found out that the girl was raped because of which she took the step", Khargone said.
In the wake of the incident, ASP (Additional Superintendent of Police) Khargone, S Kankane said that a woman police officer had gone for investigation in connection with rape incident. Earlier this month, a similar incident was reported in Madhya Pradesh where an eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father in an inebriated state at their residence in Neemuch town. According to reports, the incident came to light after police received the complaint from an anonymous caller on a child helpline service.
