Bhopal, October 17: In a shocking incident, three children were buried alive in Madhya Pradesh while they were busy doing the digging work near a plot in Damoh. According to reports, the incident took place in Botrai village where five children were engaged in soil digging work at the land plot. Superintendent of Police Vivek Agrawal informed that the tragic incident took place when a portion of the land they were digging caved-in on Wednesday morning.

According to a PTI report, two of the kids were standing to collect the soil while the others were digging when suddenly a portion of the land caved-in. The incident buried the three children under the loose soil debris, police informed. As soon as the incident took place, the other two kids immediately alerted some villagers who rushed to the spot. Police informed that a case has been registered at the Patharia police station and an investigation is on into the incident. All the three children were cousins and aged between 10 and 15 years. Details by Police informed that the victims were rushed to a community health centre in the nearby Patharia town where doctors declared them brought dead.

Earlier this month, five brothers, aged between three to seven years were found dead in a open water well in Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh. According to reports, the incident took place at a village in Sendhwa Rural area – 400 km from state capital Bhopal.
