According to a report in NDTV, when local Congress leaders- Dharmu Singh Lanjiwar, Dharmendra Shukla and Lalit Baraskar were travelling in Maruti Suzuki Ertica they saw the road was blocked. Seconds later, villagers chased them and damaged the vehicle with stones. The Congress leaders were taken out and assaulted by the mob. Later, the trio filed a case at Betul police station. A probe has been launched into the matter.
In recent, several cases of mob attacks on the people doubted to be child lifter have been reported across Madhya Pradesh. Most of the cases are reported from Bhopal, Indore, Sehore, Hoshangabad, Raisen, Neemuch and Dewas.
