Bhopal, October 13: A teacher teaching at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Madhya Pradesh’s (MP) Bhind was beaten up by the family members of a student studying at the school after she had scolded her for using mobile phone in classroom. The teacher had also snatched the phone of the student as she was busy with her mobile instead of focusing on studies during class hours.

Police said that the teacher was taking classes on Wednesday, October 11, when she noticed the student Srishti Tiwari sitting in class and talking to someone on phone. When she stopped the student to find out who she was talking to, she started talking in a loud voice. The teacher then confiscated the student's mobile and complained to her mother Kiran Tiwari. The students mother then came to the school and had an argument with the teacher. The next day, when the teacher was going to teach in her class at around 1 pm, Srishti, her mother Kiran and aunt Babli came and started abusing her. When she asked them to stop abusing, all three started slapping her. They only stopped after other teachers of the school intervened.
The student’s family member stopped but threatened teacher of dire consequences if she interfered with their daughter in future.
The teacher then went to the police station and lodged a complaint against student Srishti Tiwari, mother Kiran Tiwari and Babli Tiwari.
