Bhopal, August 4: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old woman in Madhya Pradesh died of suffocation after her husband allegedly stuffed a strong adhesive (glue)  in her mouth, nose and eyes. According to details by police, the brutal incident took place at the couple’s residence in Rajput Colony in Vidhisha city in Madhya Pradesh. The victim has been identified as Durga Bai and her husband as Halkeram Kushwaha.

“The victim, Durga Bai, suffocated to death after her husband Halkeram Kushwaha stuffed a strong adhesive, used for sticking broken items, in her mouth, nose and eyes,” Kotwali police station inspector RN Sharma was quoted by PTI.

According to the report, the husband who is the accused asked his two sons to go outside the house before committing the crime. He then used the glue to kill his wife. The Police further informed that the incident came to light when one of their sons returned home in the evening and found his mother lying motionless.

The victim’s son, a 15-year-old boy lodged a police complaint after which Halkeram was booked for murder and a search was launched to nab him. The boy told the police that his father was a drunkard and often fought with his mother. He also informed the police that the accused had even tried to poison his mother in the past.
