Bhopal, October 8: A man who was rushging his pregnant wife to hospital was allegedly dragged out of his car and assaulted by a group of miscreants in Madhya Pradesh recently. The alleged incident occurred on Sunday night, October 6, when the victim, identified as Rajiv, was going to the hospital along with his pregnant wife and family. Cops said that the miscreants stopped Rajiv's car in the Banganga area and dragged him out before thrashing him.

Post this, the miscreants allegedly set Rajiv's car on fire. The incident came to light on Monday, October 7, when Rajiv approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused, reports FPJ. After stopping Rajiv's car, the accused dragged him out and started to assault him. Hearing Rajiv's wife and mother's voices, nearby people woke up. In the meanwhile, Rajiv's father, Prakash, tried to intervene, but by then, the miscreants' other associates had arrived. They started beating Rajiv and his father with a belt. The complaint also stated that the accused threw stones at the car, too.

Soon, the dispute escalated to a sjuch a level that Rajiv decided to return home. Rajiv told cops that the miscreants followed them to his house and even hit the car with rods and sticks. Later, the accused set the car on fire by throwing petrol at the vehicle. In the end, Rajiv rushed his wife to the hospital in another vehicle as the car was completely burnt in the alleged attack. Acting on Rajiv's complaint, the police launched a probe and arrested two accused. A manhunt to nab three more accused is underway.
