Bhopal, August 8: In a horrific incident in Madhya Pradesh, a man allegedly killed his lover's one-year-old daughter for crying. The alleged incident occurred at around midnight on Monday, August 5, in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district. Police officials said that the incident came to light when the toddler's mother reported the crime. After smothering the girl child, the accused fled in the morning.
According to a report in the Times of India, the unfortunate incident took place in the Bamorkala police station area. The victim was later identified as Chhaya. The toddler's mother Jayanti (35) told cops that she, her daughter and the accused, Bhaiyalal (25) went to sleep at around 10 PM after having dinner. Accused Threw Toddler On the Ground Before Killing the Child
Enraged by the toddler's cry, the accused threw Chhaya on the ground which resulted in her bleeding from mouth and head. Following this, the accused smothered the toddler to death. Cops said that the woman held her daughter's lifeless body to her chest throughout the night. After the accused left in the morning, she approached the police and lodged a complaint.

Acting on Jayanti's complaint, the police recovered Chhaya's body and launched a manhunt to nab Bhaiyalal. Amid all this, Bhaiyalal's father Bhaura took the toddler's body to the hospital for a postmortem. Meanwhile, the police informed Jayanti's mother-in-law about the murder but could not contact her husband Parmanand. During preliminary investigation, cops learned that Jayanti left her husband to stay with Bhaiyalal. The duo met each other in Bengaluru where the two worked as labourers. Jayanti, who is married to Parmanand for over 10 years left him nearly 20 days ago. The couple has three children of which Chhaya is the youngest. After leaving Bengaluru, Jayanti brought Chhaya with her too to Shivpuri. An official said that Jayanti and Bhaiyalal were living as husband and wife in a village in Shivpuri.
