Sagar, August 1: A man in Madhya Pradesh had hired a contract killer to kill his family and later committed suicide. The incident took place in the Bundelkhand region of Sagar district. The crime came to light when the police team found debt-ridden cement trader Brajesh and his 16-year-old daughter died in a car on July 17. During investigations, Brajesh's family found a suicide note and handed it over to police, Hindustan Times reported. "I am leaving and that I owe about Rs 80 to Rs 90 lakh to banks," the note said. According to the police, Brajesh had hired a contract killer, Ranjan, from Bengal. Radha told cops that her husband gave something to drink her and their daughter. They both became unconscious. After that, the duo were left in the car and Brajesh told the shooter to kill them, reported Hindustan Times. Ranjan shot dead Brajesh's daughter, however, he couldn't kill Radha as he saw some people approaching.

Ranjan then went to Brajesh and told him that the job is done. "On this, the trader said he would go to the car to check and come back,” police said. When Brajesh didn't return for a long time, Ranjan returned to the car and saw trader dead. He immediately took the weapon of Brajesh and fled back to West Bengal.

Unable to find any weapon at the crime spot, police took help of cyber cell and found that Ranjan was constantly in touch with Brajesh before his death, Hindustan Times reported. The call recording proved that the crime was planned. Later, police tracked and arrested him.
