Bhopal, July 21: Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon died on Tuesday at the age of 85. His son Ashutosh Tandon took to Twitter to announce about his demise. The condition of Lalji Tandon was reported to be serious and he was in the ventilator in his last few days.
According to reports, he was first admitted to Medanta on June 11 following complaints of fever with difficulty in urination. Later, he was diagnosed with liver and urine infection. Madhya Pradesh: Lalji Tandon Takes Oath As Governor at Raj Bhavan.
Tandon underwent emergency surgery on June 15 for internal bleeding in his stomach. On June 16, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, UP law minister Brijesh Pathak went to meet the ailing leader. Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad also visited the MP Governor. His health deteriorated again on July 16, following which he was put on ventilator support.

The Medical Director of Medanta Lucknow said that the condition of the governor continues to be critical, and he is on a ventilator. Doctors further stated that his condition continued to deteriorate as lungs, kidney and liver were not functioning properly.
