Bhopal, August 16: Due to heavy rains, flood water has entered Pashupatinath Temple in Mandsaur.  Several parts of Mandsaur district are flooded and people from the waterlogged areas have been shifted to safer places. According to ANI tweet, SP Hitesh Chaudhary said, "Kotwali area is facing most problems. Reports of overflowing water-bodies have come in from Narayangarh & Daloda areas. Around 3000 people have been shifted to shelter homes."

In some areas, after the water receded, people returned to their houses. Special teams of SDRF from Ratlam and Indore have been called to help the people stranded in the rains. They have been deployed at various locations.

A mother-daughter duo died in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur area on Wednesday as they were washed away in a flooded nullah while clicking selfies. The deceased were identified as Bindu Gupta, 48, and daughter Ashriti, 22. Their bodies were later recovered by the team of rescue workers and local police.
