Madhya Pradesh: 12 Dead, 2 Critical in Head-On Collision Between Two Cars in Ujjain

According to a tweet by ANI, the accident took place after a head-on collision between two cars on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

Bhopal, January 29: In a tragic incident, at least 12 people have been killed in a road accident in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. According to a tweet by ANI, the accident took place after a head-on collision between two cars on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. According to reports, the road accident took place near Ramgarh village in Ujjain district of the state.

According to reports, the deadly accident took place when the family was returning from a wedding in a van. The van collided with another vehicle with such a great impact that the van fell 50 feet away. According to a report by Amar Ujala, out of the 12 killed, five were immediate family members while the other seven were their relatives. The report further added saying that the accident took place at around 12 pm and all the deceased lived in Ujjain.

On Monday, two people were killed while 30 others were injured after a bus overturned in Odisha's Kalahandi district. Earlier on Monday, a similar road accident was reported from Andhra Pradesh where 15 students suffered minor injuries after a school bus turned turtle in Guntur district. Another accident was reported from Uttar Pradesh in which eight people were killed and several others were injured due to heavy fog.
