Ludhiana, October 11: A 4-year-old boy was killed in Punjab's Ludhiana town by his 19-year-old sister, said the police after preliminary investigation. The accused, identified as Renu Kanojia, said her deceased brother, Ansh Kanojia, was chasing her everywhere and complained to their parents about her boyfriend.

The murder was committed on October 6, said the Tibba police station, under whose jurisdiction the crime was reported. A chargesheet has been filed by the Ludhiana police, booking Renu under IPC sections 365 (kidnapping), 302 (murder) and 506 (criminal intimidation). Muzaffarpur: Nine-Year-Old Girl Raped, Murdered With Her Minor Brother

Speaking to reporters, additional deputy commissioner of police Rajveer Singh Boparai said the accused's father, a labourer, was out on work at the time of murder, whereas, her mother had gone to visit a relative at the hospital.

The victim was going out to play, but was lured back to the house by Renu with the promise of a candy. When Ansh came inside, she locked the doors and strangulated him to death, Boparai said.

Following the murder, she removed his clothes and stuffed his naked body into an empty wheat sack. The clothes were deliberately removed by her, so that the investigators, after finding the body, would mistaken the case to be one of sexual assault, the police official added.

The sack was hidden by her inside the house throughout the day, which prompted the parents to register a missing complaint. Post midnight, when the mother and father were asleep, Renu threw the sack outside the house, with the body being recovered by the police the next day.
