Ludhiana, July 13: A wall of a Municipal Corporation Building in Ludhiana collapsed on Friday following heavy rains in the city in the morning hours. According to reports, two cars were damaged due to the wall collapse. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Heavy rains lashed Ludhiana along with other parts of Punjab on Friday morning, leading to waterlogging in several areas. Waterlogging was reported from areas including Gill Road, Haibowal, Kichlu Nagar and Sundar Nagar among other areas.

Earlier in May, the retaining wall of Gill flyover in Ludhiana collapsed. The flyover was constructed two years ago. The inquiry report dated June 14 said, "The cause of failure of Reinforced Earth Retaining Wall is weakening of the geogrid net by rats."
