Ludhiana, Oct 1: Three people were booked by the police on Sunday for allegedly performing circumcision on a 10- year old boy in Machhiwara. The boy alleged the accused circumcised him on Friday in a bid to convert him to Islam forcefully. The boy was admitted to a hospital in serious condition. A case has been registered against one against Mohammad Mobin and two of his unidentified accomplices.

The boy, who hails from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, told the police that his father abandoned him in a train after his mother died around eight months back. The train brought him to Ludhiana where he worked as a domestic help at a residence in Gurugarh village for seven months. The boy said that last week Mobin hired him for Rs 1,000 a month in his roadside juice vending shop at Machhiwara. Caught Chatting On WhatsApp, Married Man, His Girlfriend Commit Suicide in Hyderabad.

According to the boy, Mobin used to beat him and was forcing him to embrace Islam. On Friday, Mobin, along with two others, performed circumcision on him, the boy told the police, as reported by Indian Express. The profusely bleeding boy somehow managed to escape and reached a nearby market in Kohara. Members of a tempo union brought him to hospital. The condition of the 10-year-old is said to be stable now.

"The main accused Mobin allegedly performed circumcision, and his two unidentified accomplices tied hands of the victim. We are yet to arrest them," Rajesh Kumar, SHO Machhiwara police station, was quoted as saying. The three accused have been booked under Sections 295 (hurting religious sentiments), 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons) and 34 (act done by several persons with common intention) of IPC.
