Lucknow: CCSI Airport Stops Visitors Entry Over Security Threat, Enforces Extra Safety Measures
Visitors entry at CCSI Airport Lucknow has been stopped with immediate effect as per directives of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security till further orders in view of prevailing threat perception.
Lucknow, March 2: A red alert has been issued for all airports and airlines in India following intelligence inputs citing security threat amidst the growing India-Pakistan tension after the Pulwama terror attack and IAF's operation in Pakistan, Balakot. Pakistan had sent F16 war jets in India on Thursday to attack military post after IAF attacked and bombed terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) training camps in Balakot. In the latest, visitors entry at CCSI Airport Lucknow has been restricted over security threat, said reports. Also, extra security measures have been enforced, said reports. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) issued the alert and officers of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) have been made aware about the threat. Even railway stations across the country have been put on high alert. Mumbai International Airport Receives Threat Call, Some Areas of Level 2, 3 & 4 at Terminal 2 Evacuated.
Earlier today, the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) in Mumbai received a threat call on Saturday following which the offices of various airlines were evacuated. According to a tweet by ANI, the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) at Mumbai International airport was convened today to assess a threat call.
Reports inform that the BTAC declared the call 'non-specific'. As a precautionary measure, BTAC has evacuated some areas of Level 2, 3 & 4 at Terminal 2. Reports inform that all the offices at the departures (level 4), pre-security hold area and the arrivals (level 2) area were also evacuated.
