Lucknow, October 3: Autopsy report of deceased Apple executive Vivek Tiwari has hinted towards police negligence as one of the reasons behind his death. The medical report finds that Tiwari was alive for 55 minutes after being hit by the fatal bullet. The delay in treatment could had led to his demise.

The post-mortem report mentions that Tiwari was admitted at 2:05am at the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, which is located 10-minute away from the site where he was shot. Eye-witness Sana Khan told mediapersons that Chaudhary drove his SUV for 300 minutes after shot, and rammed into a pillar near Shaheed Path.

Even after bringing Choudhary to the hospital, his treatment was delayed, said Sana. The police was enquiring about the incident rather than allowing the medical team to initiate immediate treatment, she claimed.

Despite reaching the hospital at 2:05am, the treatment was delayed by roughly 30 minutes. The autopsy report finds that Tiwari breathed his last at 2:25am.

According to medical experts, timely treatment could had saved the life of Tiwari. In accidents and gunshot incidents, the first hour of treatment is critical, opines Dr Ashish Singh, an expert in trauma injuries.

Tiwari was killed on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, when he refrained to stop his car on the directions of the UP police personnel at 1:30am.

His death sparked uproar, with the UP police suspending the accused constable and taking him into arrest. The bereaved family would be given an ex-gratia compensation of Rs 40 lakh, along with a government job for one member of the family.
