In a case of what seems to be an instance of love gone wrong, a 25-year-old girl is reported to have committed suicide by jumping to death from the third floor of a mall named TGIP- The Great India Place in Noida located in Sector 38- A. This incident occurred on Saturday afternoon as per reports in the English daily Hindustan Times.
A suicide note was recovered by the police from the victim's body. The suicide note did mention that the girl was going through a difficult period as far as her relation was concerned. The girl mentioned the conflict with her lover as the reason for taking the drastic step.
The girl took away her life by jumping from the mall at around 3 pm. She has been identified as Shivani. The girl was rushed to the hospital after people realised what had happened but it was too late by then as the doctors at Kailash Hospital declared her dead at arrival around 3.30 pm.
The spokesperson of the TGIP security management was quoted saying by the paper that as soon as the woman had fallen from the third floor, the mall security management staff arranged for an emergency ambulance and she was rushed to Kailash Hospital. The police was also informed at the same time said the mall's security spokesperson. The police said that they are going through the CCTV footage of the mall to find if the woman had entered the mall alone. The police confirmed that no case has been registered yet.
The circle officer 1, Noida, named Anit Kumar said while talking to the paper that the suicide note mentions the girl was not happy with her lover as he wan not "willing" to meet her and wasn't answering her calls as well. He added that police will try and probe if the man abetted the suicide, but this can be done only after investigations are complete, said the officer.
