The Election Commission has officially declared the Lok Sabha elections 2024 results. The BJP failed to get majority on its own. As per the final figures, the BJP, which had won 303 out of 543 seats in 2019, settled at 240 this time. The Congress improvised its overall tally from 52 to 99. The BJP-led NDA, however, managed to cross the majority mark of 272 and bagged 293 seats. The INDIA bloc parties 232 seats, while 18 seats went to other parties and independents.
