Delhi, July 12: The Supreme Court is scheduled to announce its judgment on July 12 regarding Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's challenge against his arrest and subsequent remand by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a case related to the Delhi excise policy. The bench, led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna, had reserved its decision on May 17 after hearing arguments from both sides.

During the hearings, Additional Solicitor General SV Raju informed the court about alleged evidence suggesting funds were funneled to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) through hawala channels. Raju also claimed that the ED had uncovered conversations between Kejriwal and hawala operators discussing purported proceeds of crime in the case. Union Budget 2024: PM Narendra Modi Meets Economists To Elicit Their Views and Suggestions Ahead of Budget for 2024-25 (Watch Video).
