The Congress-affiliated NSUI had organised the protest coinciding with the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha, initially planning a march to Parliament.

Construction and development work at Noida International Airport is at an advanced stage and the management is expected to begin commercial operations by the end of April 2025. "Work on the runway, the passenger terminal and the control tower, is well advanced. We continue to pass important milestones on the road to operational readiness. Following the recent general elections, the NDA holds a majority with 293 seats in the 18th Lok Sabha, while the BJP has 240 seats.
