Mumbai, June 13: N Chandrababu Naidu, chief of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), took oath as the 18th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, June 12. After taking oath as Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu hugged PM Narendra Modi on stage. Besides Naidu, Janasena Party chief Pawan Kalyan took oath as a minister in the Andhra Pradesh government. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by PM Modi and Union Ministers Amit Shah and JP Nadda.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav officially resigned from his membership in the Legislative Assembly, representing the Karhal constituency. A massive fire at an apartment complex in Kuwait's Mangaf claimed 49 lives, including of Indians. The blaze erupted in a six-floor building crammed with migrant workers in the al-Mangaf area, south of the capital, Kuwait City. After the incident, PM Narendra Modi condoled the death of those who lost their lives in the incident.
